OUR HISTORY
The Yellowwood Park Stables was established in 1969, as a non-profit livery stable yard, with land that was donated to us by Mr Kenneth Stainbank of the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve. We are situated in the heart of Yellowwood Park but often missed as we are well set back and not visible from the road. Bordered by residential houses, Stainbank Reserve, a public park and Higginson Highway on each side respectively.
Catering mostly to leisure riders, and retired horses, but competitive riders also welcome. We are a semi-DIY yard, so some owner involvement is required. Our riding facilities include a large floodlit arena with jumping equipment, a separate full size lettered dressage arena, a lunge arena, and we have small cross country fences scattered about the property. Outrides within the residential area are also fully permitted.
We have had the pleasure of meeting many horses, horse owners, and members over the years. We have also been fortunate to see a few reunions of old members happen at the yard too! We hope to welcome in many more members into our stable family in years to come. We would also like to thank all of you who already follow our story on Facebook and Instagram. Perhaps one day you’ll be part of that story too?
